American Wildlands - American Wildlands is a science-based non-profit conservation organization with a 25-year history of wilderness legislation and natural resource advocacy in the American West. American Wildland's mission is to promote, protect and restore biodiversity and advocate for sustainable management of the West's wildlands, watersheds, and wildlife, with special attention to the Northern Rocky Mountain region.

Bruce Trail Association - The Bruce Trail, Canada's oldest and longest footpath, provides the only public access to the magnificent Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. It is one of only twelve such reserves in all of Canada. The mission of the Bruce Trail Association is to provide a public footpath along the Niagara Escarpment and promote protection of the Escarpment and appreciation of its natural beauty.

Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) - CPAWS works to protect parks and other similar wilderness areas. We make sure that once they are legally protected, they stay that way and that nature comes first in their management. CPAWS is Canada's grassroots voice for wilderness. We are solutions-oriented, and we get results. Since we were founded in 1963, we have helped protect over 40 million hectares of Canada's most treasured wild places (that's an area nearly seven time the size of Nova Scotia).

Inland-Northwest Forest Products Research Consortium - A cooperative effort between the Forest Products Department at the U of Idaho, the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the U of Montana, and the Wood Materials and Engineering Laboratory at Washington State U. The Consortium utilizes a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional approach to solve forest-industry problems unique to the Inland Northwest. It is funded by a special grant from the USDA CSREES.

Minnesota Environmental Partnership - A coalition of 87 Minnesota environmental and conservation organizations working together to protect and preserve Minnesota's precious natural environment. Together, the Partnership's member organizations are supported by more than 500,000 Minnesotans. The Partnership provides a way for environmental organizations to collaborate in their efforts to make sure that Minnesota's natural resources are well cared for.

The program has helped communities across the country create policies and practices that simultaneously address citizens' environmental concerns and economic needs.
