- Wind Power Pioneer-Glenn Cannon, Waverly Light and Power
- Glenn Cannon has helped to lead the way for wind energy development across the Midwest. In 1993, Waverly installed the first utility-scale wind turbine in Iowa. Since then, Iowa has installed approximately 350 wind turbines and is ranked third in the nation for wind energy development. Waverly Light and Power launched the Iowa Energy Tags Program in 2001, becoming the first electric utility in the nation to offer "green tags." Read Interview.

- This spreadsheet was developed to assist farm owners and operators in evaluating the economics of installing a wind turbine on their farms to provide electricity for the farm and home. To use the program, you must click the link above and download the spreadsheet to your computer. The program will estimate the cash flows for investing in a wind turbine and the rate of return on the cash investments.

- Windustry - Wind Energy Guidebook
- In the mid-1990s, the Windustry project focused on developing a wind energy guidebook called %uHarvest the Wind. The original Windustry curriculum was developed with the assistance of an 18-member Advisory Panel which included national and local wind energy experts, utility and rural economic development professionals, and rural county extension educators. This is their story.
