  • American Corn Growers Endorse Dennis Kucinich's Legislation onGMOs - The American Corn Growers Association (ACGA) has endorsed several legislative initiatives introduced by Congressman Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, to improve the rights of farmers and consumers in the area of genetically engineered (GE) foods, crops, and livestock. Kucinich recently introduced six bills in the United States House of Representatives (H.R. 2916, H.R. 2917, H.R. 2918, H.R. 2919, H.R. 2920 and H.R 2921). .

  • Campaign Against Genetically Modified Wheat - In December of 2002 Monsanto applied for government approval to commercially grow their genetically modified (GM) wheat in the U.S. and Canada. This wheat has been modified for resistance to Monsanto's herbicide Roundup. This means more chemicals will be sprayed on the crop.
