- American Corn Growers Endorse Dennis Kucinich's Legislation onGMOs
- The American Corn Growers Association (ACGA) has endorsed several legislative initiatives introduced by Congressman Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, to improve the rights of farmers and consumers in the area of genetically engineered (GE) foods, crops, and livestock. Kucinich recently introduced six bills in the United States House of Representatives (H.R. 2916, H.R. 2917, H.R. 2918, H.R. 2919, H.R. 2920 and H.R 2921). .

- A new study by Dr. Robert Wisner - a leading grain market economist at Iowa State U - shows the commercial introduction of genetically modified wheat in the next 2-6 years could cause major risk to U.S. wheat industry. After examining data on existing markets, consumer trends, and grain handling and transportation systems, Dr. Wisner predicts a loss of 30% to 50% of U.S. spring wheat export markets.

- Described as a "technology protection system" by DPL and as the "terminator technology" by the Rural Advancement Foundation International, the patented processes will be used by seed companies to prevent farmers from saving seeds to plant the following year.
