The Institute for Rural Futures at New England University - The Institute for Rural Futures is an independent non-profit research organization located on the campus of the University of New England. They undertake applied socio-economic and biophysical research with a rural focus. The Institute was established in August 2000 through the amalgamation of the Centre for Bioregional Resource Management and the Rural Development Centre.

TVA Rural Studies - a cooperative program operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority and the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture.
